Atwell College

School uniform is a very important part of the Atwell College ethos and tradition. It contributes to the positive College image and establishes a sense of community identity.

There is an expectation that all students comply with the college uniform policy. Parents indicated their support of the school uniform policy on their child's enrolment form.

Under section 128C of the Education Act, the School Council determines, in consultation with the school community, a school uniform for students. The Department of Education's policy on school dress code allows schools to make the wearing of school uniform a requirement. It has been found that the wearing of school uniform brings with it many benefits, such as the promotion of the school's public image; an enhanced school spirit; a reduction in rivalry between students; an increase in convenience and cost-saving for parents; and preparation for work environments which have dress and safety codes.
