Programs - Overview

Our high quality academic and vocational curriculum is supported by a variety of cultural, artistic and sporting programs that include;

  • AEP (Academic Enrichment Program) - Our Academic Enrichment Program (AEP) is designed to challenge students academically and build on their self-management and reflection skills, developing well rounded independent learners.  The college offers Academic Enrichment classes in Years 7, 8 and 9 in the four core learning areas - English, HASS, Mathematics and Science.   • Music Program - Music learning combines listening, performing and composing activities. These activities developed sequentially, enhance students' capacity to perceive and understand music. Please click here to submit your application.
  • Beginner Music Program - Atwell College is able to offer a number of beginner instrumental lessons through the Instrumental Music School Service (IMSS). These are free lessons, once a week during school time. If your child is interested in learning an instrument and joining the music program Please click here to submit your application. 
  • NP (Netball Program) - Our Netball Program (NP) aims to engage students to pursue netball by developing the skills needed for the netball pathways as an Athlete, Coach, Umpire and Official. Students have the opportunity to excel in their chosen sport and encourages ongoing participation for young women. Please click here to submit your application.
  • RLP (Rugby League Program) - Our Rugby League Program (RLP) provides outstanding opportunities to develop specific skills, knowledge and experiences. These include game skills, fitness and theory sessions aimed at developing the knowledge of the game and becoming a professional athlete. Please click here to submit your application.
  • Education Support Program - Caters for students with a full spectrum of disabilities from severe intellectually disabled individuals in a specialist building, to students with mild disabilities in small classes in general learning areas. The KBLC (Kim Beazley Learning Centre) is a purpose-built facility equipped with a hydrotherapy pool, specialist sensory equipment and can cater for therapists who attend the school.
