Atwell College

Year 7

What a great start to Term 2! Following the break it was great to see the students had returned safe and well. They have already settled in to what is always a very busy and productive term.

This week the majority of our Year 7 students are completing the NAPLAN (National Numeracy and Literacy) testing. This is held across 3 days and should only be a minimal disruption to our normal learning program.

As you are probably aware there is a reward excursion in Week 4 to the Hoyts Cinema at Southlands. This invitation was extended to those students who displayed positive behaviour during Term 1 and who gained a minimum of 4 stamps on their R.A.P.T (relationships, achievement, pride, transitions) card. If your child received this invitation their notes and payment must be returned to the Middle School Office by 9am Monday 19 May.

Those students, who for whatever reason are not attending this excursion will be given the opportunity to be involved in another reward that will be offered at the end of the term.

During week 8 the AEP (Academic Extension Program) students are attending a 3 day leadership and team building camp in Dwellingup, they will have to ensure they take lots of warm clothing………it could be very cold.
